Introducing the e-College
Welcome to this web site which is dedicated to offering access to high quality distance learning for Economics and Business Studies A-Levels to the general public, soon to include Politics, Statistics and Critical Thinking. The aim is to create a web site that will allow a student to undertake a complete study or revision programmer for a complete set of A-Levels appropriate for entry to top British Universities for Business, Politics, Economics , Philosophy and countless other subjects.
The philosophy behind this web site is that a student should be able to pick and choose the level of support that they require, from a full, supported distance learning course with marked assignments to a set of quality revisions notes and anything in between. For that reason, instead of requiring you to buy a full course for around £70 a unit as many of our rivals do we allow you to select the elements you require and to construct your own learning model.
Most modern universities receive thousands more applications than they places. It is for this reason that I have decided to offer critical thinking in order to give students an edge in applications.
My name is Jonathan Fanning and I was the Head of Social Studies at Abbey College London, a private sixth form college, and an associate examiner with EdExcel in economics. In addition I teach at the Open University Business School on their MBA program and supervise technical masters level dissertations.
On this web site I am making available to the general public
the notes and tuition that is offered to our economics students. With our
help they have achieved a 100% pass rate with 75% A/B grades at A2. In future
we hope to offer support in a full spectrum of subjects.
